[D.I.Y] A tutorial for making studded bracelets!

Used, popped, bike tubes. What to do with them? Instead of contributing to even more waste, why not turn them into something ?
…This is a guide on how to turn your old bike tires into perhaps not the most useful accessory, but definitely a punk rock classic: The STUDDED BRACELET!!!

What you’ll need:
-Studs/Spikes.
-Bike Tube.
-Needle/Thread.
-Scissor.

1. Cut the tube into various sizes. Warp the tube around your wrist before you cut it to size, and give some extra space for sewing later on.

2. Put the studs/spikes on the tube, fasten. The easiest method I’ve found is to use a coin instead of wearing your fingers out. You’ll be surprised how easily the studs go through the rubber. Use the simple method, or create different patterns!
And think about how you are recycling something most throw away, and also not supporting any animal cruelty by not using leather!

3. Stitch up both ends. I like to over lap the ends to make it more secure. Usually I’ll stitch some X’s in the middle, but you can do whatever design you want! Anarchy/ Equality/ Chaos symbols for extra punk points!

4. Rock and wear. Enjoy!

There are many sizes of bike tires. Go to your local bike shop and ask nicely for old tubes, usually they have a stack of them laying around. Other times you can walk down the alley and find used bike tires in the trash. You can make belts, guitar straps, boot straps, head gear, anything you’d like! Be creative! This is super easy and once you get the hang of it, you can have one made in less than 10 minutes. Give them to your pals, or sell them at shows/gatherings for pocket change.
