On The Fringe Radio
On the Fringe is your weekly source in Austin for radical news and commentary on grassroots resistance to empire and exploitation. Since 2003 we've been featuring the voices of students, radicals, and community members struggling for a more just world. On the Fringe is broadcast every Monday evening on KVRX, a student radio station based at the University of Texas. It will be be rebroadcast each week via the Profane Existence's podcast feed.
This week we discussed the recent supreme kourt decision on the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission case that has overridden decades of precedent regarding corporate involvement in federal elections. The 5-4 decision has allowed corporations to dig into their treasuries to influence the electoral process all the way up to election day.
