Fixation Street used to be titled Straight Sob and comes out of Montreal, QC. Fixation Street starts off #11 with a "Top Ten" of really obscure euro-punk bands form ‘77-‘80 which is great if you like really obscure euro-punk bands form ‘77-‘80. No really, I need to look into some of the bands! Fixation Street #11 has interviews with: 222's one of Montreal’s first punk bands, THE ASSASSINATORS from K-Town, and one with the long running Finnish zine TOINEN VAIHTOEHTO (which rules by the way). The best thing about this issue of Fixation Street is the travel stories, hands down. Mike, the author, writes with great description about his bicycle/hitching trip through Canada and into Alaska in a piece titled Bound for the Northland with pictures from the trip to boot! Fixation Street wraps up issue 11 with an article about the truth behind biofuels, some personal stories, and book reviews. Fixation Street #11 is an all-around interesting zine with some fucking amazing writing. Ace! (JasonS)
